Welcome to Portland...a foodie's haven
Bomb pad thai at Baan Thai
Finished tom yum soup
One of the cutest and tastiest bakeries I've ever been to. Right off 23rd Street
Didn't get this (i.e. way to pricey) but it looked delicious. A brioche bread spread with cheese, Dijon mustard, and ham
Latte and Cappuccino. BEST LATTE I HAVE EVER HAD. take note
Entering the Alphabet District.
Starbucks see
Beautiful local cineplex
More Starbucks
My skirt (thought this picture looked all artsy)
Navarre: One of the best restaurants in Portland according to the Oregonian
Another artsy picture in the restaurant
Since we had to wait cause it was so packed we went over to Beulahland for hops.
Portland is known for their breweries. I got the Rogue but I suggest the Cascade... yummm
Back in action
Menu was a little complicated. Navarre is tapas style with most of their ingredients gotten fresh and local
Circle and scratch
Reading slowly and making well-thought out and discussed decisions about what to eat. So important when eating out
Ok. So we got polenta (survey says a little on the buttery side). On the middle is rabbit with mustard. Delicious! and the bread is local Ken's Artisian's bread
Stuffed peppers
Potato pancakes with sour cream
Sunday morning yoga
Inside the studio
Waffle Window! A must-taste in Portland. SO wonderful!
Banarumba waffle with granola, banana caramel, fresh bananas and topped off with whipped cream
Nutella and banana waffle with mimosa
Ham and cheese waffle
Mt. Tabor (Southeast Portland)
same picture but two different vibes:
Colonist...oh...I mean "pioneer"
Local journalist hero pointing towards "westward expansion". But on a lighter subject::: chouqesttes!
Bad to the bakery for these delectable treats chouqettes. Best I ever had
It doesn't look like it now but we ate the whole bag!
City grocery on 21st Street (Northwest Portland)
Didn't go here but peeked and side and looked mad boojey but delicious. Look at the dipping sauces below!
Trader Joes goodness. Never heard or tried these but I trust my friends judgment (she's a serious food too)
Very cute Trader Joes, very cute. Speaking of cute!.....
This blog is fantastic. You've inspired me to take more pictures. You've also made me hungry. Arg.
